#9 3/4 Tailed Block Plane This good looking plane dates from between 1880
and 1885 according to the type study I have looked at. It is in very nice
overall condition and still sports well over 85% of the original japanning.
The tail and the wood knob are original, and in very nice condition. There
are a few very minor spots of pitting, but it looks very good. The throat
area is perfect. The cutter is long and has the proper logo for this type
or era. All in all a nice plane in collector condition.

The body is nice, but the cutter and cap are customized replacements.

planes. It is 6" long and has a non-adjustable front.

# 140 Rabbit Block Plane This is a very nice example if this skew
angle rabbit plane The cutter
still has plenty of life left and is near full length. The japanning is
original and at least 95%. The nickel on the
cap is near perfect. The side plate is nice,
and the screws are original. These are considered one of the best designed
Stanley planes and are a favorite with users with the skew cutter for end grain
work and the rabbit feature is handle for corners. Recommended!! Fine . . . . . $ 150.00 SOLD!

Block Plane
The #18 Stanley block plane is in like new condition.
It is 6" long and has the later style marked knuckle joint cap. It is
otherwise identical to the 9 1/2. The throat is nice. The overall

Stanley # 65 Low Angle Block Plane
This plane is stamped # 65 on the side. It is
a later Low Angle Stanley block plane that is about 7"
long. It is in very nice condition The paint is original, and
the plating fine.
The throat is nice. These low angle planes are especially suited for cross
or end grain work. It will make a fine user for general work, or such
tasks as fly rod making as well. A favorite with all users.

The # 18 is just like the Stanley 9 1/2 at 6" long but has the knuckle joint cap

Stanley # 16 Block Plane This 6" Stanley Block plane is identical to a 9 1/2 except for the nickel plated finish on the cap. It dates from the teens. Everything is proper but this plane has seen use, and was re-habed by sanding or lapping the sole and sides at some point. Tough to find.

Stanley #9 1/2 Block Plane This 6" block plane is in very nice condition. The blue finish is 95% or better except on the lever cap. The throat is nice, and the cutter full length. A good user that dates from the 60's or so.

Plane in Original Box
This is a Sweetheart
era plane. There is a hole in the top of the box because the plane was put back
in with the cap up and it poked a hole in the fragile top. The plane looks
to have never been used and did not suffer any consequences of box storage for
the last 70+ years. MINT.

Stanley # 65 Low Angle Block Plane
The # 65 is a very popular plane with users. They work well in all
situations and are especially handy with end grain and cross grain.

# A 18 Block Plane
Stanley made these
planes during the mid 20's after Aluminum became a plentiful and cheap material
to use. They are cute, lighter than their cast iron counterparts, and
certainly harder to find as they were only made for about 10 years or so.
It was a poor choice of material, and they never really caught on with the
buying consumer. The scratched easily, and they sometimes develop a rusting /
rot This one has some light scratches in the sole and a few surface black
spots that will clean. A pretty nice example.

Four Square Block Plane These are basically
9 1/4 planes with a differently marked cap, and color finish. The 4 Square
line of planes was Stanley's Happy Homeowner line in the 30's and their attempt
to open the market up to the general public.

Plane The #203 is a small block
plane like the 9 1/4 w/o a moveable front. It is considered pretty hard to find and
most of its demand is from the collectible end.

Stanley # 15 1/2 Block Plane w/ Aux. Handle Here is a tough variation of a Stanley Block Plane to find. It is an original and not one of the knockoffs that have been introduced.The japanning on this 7" block plane is near flawless and the sole is nice. The throat is nice as well. The auxiliary tail is very nice noting some chips in the black finish. The cutter has the notched rectangle logo thus dating this example from the 30's and near the end of its being offered. A nice plane.

Stanley #15 7" Block Plane This plane dates from before WW2. It has approx 85% or more of its original finish. Just the cap is worn at the heel. The throat is proper and not cracked or stressed. There is light pitting on the sole that will lap out if desired, but it will not affect use. A Nice One!! These planes are the same as a 9 1/2 plane, but an inch longer which would especially suit them for Bamboo Rod making where the extra length would help a bit.
