handle. Straight, 10pt.sharp and ready to go The medallion reads
Warranted Superior, I am not sure if it is original. You could not ask for much nicer condition
in one of Disston's finest made saws from an era of quality and pride in
workmanship.

Disston D12 London Spring
Crosscut Saw This example of a Disston
D12 is about as nice as they come. It was one of the finest saws made. This is a 12 point fine crosscut, and
it is 26" long. It is straight and sharp. The etch is there,
and very strong. The applewood handle is near perfect.

Disston D12 London Spring The top one is a early example of
one of Disstons' finest made saws. I am not familiar with the style nuts holding
the handle, but they look original. This is a 13 point fine crosscut, and
it is 26" long. It is straight and sharp. The etch is there, but
hard to make out. The applewood handle is near perfect.

Pratt #1 Bench Hack Saw This unusual bench
mounted hacksaw is a nice tool that is well made and a quality product. It
takes 9" blades and is the only size GP offered in the catalog I looked in.
It is complete w/ its vice and in very nice condition. These would be great in the
small production shop where repetitive cuts are needed. No more jumping out
of the cut or bouncing around when trying to start one.

2 Man 5' Crosscut Saw This is a nice condition saw that has been hanging on a wall for 25 years or so. The handles are good. The teeth all look good. I can not read the etch as it is dirty, but it is not pitted or heavily rusted.

collectors tag on this one identifies it as 18th century. Super.

Disston
& Morse # 43Combination Saw This was
Disston's top of the line and
most expensive saw they made. In addition to the saw, it also has a
ruler along the back edge, and a plumb level built into the handle, as well
as a scribe,. The 9 pt. blade is straight and pretty nice The medallions
are all correct. There is a chip in the top horn, and some minor cracks in
the handle.
The blade has some minor pitting, but you can see the logo / etch. The
pitting is very light on the front side, and there is even less on the back
side. All in all a nice saw.

Disston #43 Hand Saw Marketed as the complete combination tool, Disston implied that you could leave the rest home and just show up at the job the job with this. Included was a scribe, level, square, ruler, straight edge, and of course the saw. It looks good, and the blade is straight. Both vials are good, and the patent dates an other info are readable but faint on the blade.

Disston D-17 Double Duty DDD The cutting edge is 26" long. It is straight. There are minor areas of pitting and some stains. The etching is pretty good.

Atkins Silver Steel #400 Rip Saw This is one of the nicest, and rarest saws I have ever owned. Note the condition of the figured Rosewood handle in the accompanying pics. These saws were Atkins top of the line and the nuts and screws were actually silver-plated and not just nickel. I have provided the best pics I could, and they do not do this saw justice. It is much nicer in person. There is one area of corrosion as shown, but the rest is bright and the camera created the dark spots or blotches you see.
