Henry Wilson & Son # 12 10 Pt. Crosscut SawHenry Wilson & Son # 12 22" 10 Pt. Crosscut Panel Saw  This 22" 10 Pt. crosscut handsaw is straight has an OK etch.  The carved handle is nice.  It feels heavier than others the same size.   A Google search turned up just one reference to Henry Wilson as a saw maker.  A play on Henry Disston's name and reputation?   Nice.

Good + . . . . . $20.00      SOLD!!

J. Flint Rochester NY Two Man / Two Handle SawJ. Flint Rochester NY Two Man / Two Handle Saw   Here is an odd ball 19th century saw.  J. Flint is  well known saw maker who first set up in Rochester NY and later moved his business into Canada.  He is most famous for his near unique patented hand saw handle design that has two handles on the same end to allow the user to better use both hands when rip cutting lumber.

There are plenty of references to him and his business to be found online, especially concerning that patented 2 handle saw handle. He is also well known for his line of well made backsaws and articles about them have appeared in the Gristmill.  Despite that I could find no info about, or references to, a saw like this. I could also not find a copy of any catalogs although I did see reference to ones.  Disston put out a similar saw which is pictured in their 1876 catalog. (see last pic)

The overall condition is very nice.  The horns on the distinctive handles are good, and the teeth are all good. The blade is not pitted or rusty.  The stamp is clear, and placed right in the middle of the saw blade.    Different!!

2 Man Cross Cut Saws3 different 2 Man Cross Cut Saws  The largest one is an 8' saw.  It is NOS.  The others are just under 6'.  I cleaned the light rust that was on these saws.  I used a nylon brush on a power sander.  All three saws came from a closed hardware store and had minor storage rust issues.  I think you can see in the pics that they have not been sharpened or used at all.  You can just make out etches on 2 of them.  The 8' one says Precision Ground.   Also included is the pair of Disston handles which are also new / NOS.

Wodack Electric Hand Saw Chicago IllWodack Electric Hand Saw Chicago Ill.   There is little info to be found on this early wormdrive skilsaw online.  There is a you-tube video of one running, and they refer to it as the "Junior".  I think Beastie would be more appropriate.  I did read that Dewalt bought them out.  The ID tag has a wealth of info stamped on it.  The capacity was over 4" meaning it has a 10" blade in it.  It was made by Wodack Electric Tool Corporation and was distributed exclusively by F. L. Rogers of Chicago / New York.

It is being sold as is. No guarantees or warranties of any sort. It does run.  I plugged it in even with that funky cord.  It about jumped off the table.  The switch is not working.  It is in direct drive.  Be forewarned.  It sounded a bit archy but did run.  Note there is no safety guard.  What you see is what you get.  A great addition to the next hot collector group - - early dangerous electric tools.  Different!!

 Good +. . . . . . . $75.00      SOLD!!

1876 Shipman Patent Scrool Saw / Jigsaw1876 Patent Shipman Scrollsaw /  Jigsaw  This is a neat looking pedal powered jigsaw I have never seen before, and would not expect to see in such nice condition.  It  has an almost shaker look and feel to it being made almost entirely of wood, and having such graceful lines.    Mr. Shipman pulled the patent # 183,029 in 1876, and resided in Rochester NY, and if I am not mistaken there was a Shaker colony up that way back when.  This was bought here on the west coast  near Reading Ca. years ago.  The condition is such that I doubt it was ever used.   It has been sitting on display for the last 20-30 years, and is now being offered for sale for the first time in that time.  A super piece!!

1876 Patent Jigsaw . . . . . . .$150.00 SOLD!

Atkins Silver Steel #400 Rip Saw This is one of the nicest, and rarest saws I have ever owned.  Note the condition of the figured Rosewood handle in the accompanying pics.  These saws were Atkins top of the line and the nuts and screws were actually silver-plated and not just nickel.  I have provided the best pics I could, and they do not do this saw justice.  It is much nicer in person.  There is one area of corrosion as shown, but the rest is bright and the camera created the dark spots or blotches you see.

Good  +. . . . . . SOLD
