My name is Larry
Meeker and my wife Carole and I are antique dealers, and collectors. Carole and I have been conducting our
antiques
business on a
full-time basis for
over 20 years.
My initial education in the antique business began
in the 60's as a child
working with my mother as we went around working the curbside in New
Jersey during monthly pickup
week. I remember those days and early experiences fondly.
But times change and over the
years we have seen
the world of antiques and the process
of both acquiring and selling antiques go through many major changes. This website
and our sister site
www.patented-antiques.com
are our way of meeting the newest challenges in the ever-changing world of
buying & selling antiques.

Our main buying and selling interests
center on early patented, mechanical and
technology related antiques
dating from the beginnings of the Industrial
Revolution and up through the 1920's or so---Tools & Technology and
Scientific related Antiques as well as Americana, General Store, and
related antique advertising. These patented and mechanical
antiques
come from the
home, shop, farm, or office. We are active and enthusiastic
dealers
and sellers of unusual items in the
many categories of antiques and vintage collectibles
and particularly in items representing
vintage American technology and their ingenious American inventors.
Click any of the
headings in the left column for more information on specific categories of
antiques we are interested in.
Please Note:
After
reviewing this site
and looking at the types of antiques that we are interested in
buying
and selling, if you have similar antiques you want to sell please contact us by email at
LCM@AntiqBuyer.com
with as many details as possible
including your phone number.
Please Consider:
Thinking about Selling Your Antiques?
In order
to have any idea of my level of interest in the antique that you want
to sell, I must know what it is you actually have. Please see the
Home
Page or FAQ
page for further info on
this.
Vague descriptions are not going to
work. I get 50+ inquires a day related to buying Antiques,
and enough of them handle this aspect of the process in the proper
business-like manner that I just do not have to resort to the back and
forth or guessing games that I am often-times asked to participate in.
I am not trying to be rude, or take advantage of you. I simply do not have
the time!
We buy and sell antiques and that is our full-time job.
This is not,
as some suppose, a game of cat and mouse. Of course there is
sometimes a
negotiation process, and I can not always just say yes, but bottom line is, I am a serious
dealer
& seller of antiques.

Finally, I don't know about
all of you, but I like to see who I'm doing business with. So here
we are!
We can provide numerous references from past clients to attest to our honesty,
fairness, and integrity when
buying & selling antiques.
We hope you enjoy this site, and
that you will consider our services should you have some neat things
you need help selling.
This can and should be a win-win situation where everyone comes out feeling
good, and we await your
contact.
Here is the real
boss around here, Buster, shown
here protecting his favorite teddy bear
that he still thinks is a Steiff after watching t
he Antique Roadshow one
day!
And finally here is Madison. She is our real
inspiration, always Happy, always ready, and she never complains. She loves to
do whatever you are going to do, although she would like to go swimming
or go to the beach more often. When you need a friend, or to
change pace, she is there ready and willing, and yes she does sleep in
the bed.
PLEASE
NOTE
Due to time constraints, a full time work schedule, and the large
volume of free appraisal and general information requests that we receive everyday, it
is not
possible for us to respond to
all individual requests for general
information about your item, or give free online evaluations / appraisals of your antiques
that are not for sale. Thanks for understanding!!
Thank you!!
