CT - Commemorative Planes
The CT line of planes & tools were first offered in 1993.
They were offered when the company fell into hard times as a means to
improve their situation, and it worked.
The line was such a success BCT carried on the tradition for years - for all it was
worth. Most every plane I have had was unused and still in the original
walnut presentation box that
could be ordered at addition cost. Over the years there were some great
ideas and popular designs.
Recently the company was sold to a Chinese outfit and there has been some consequences in addition to new innovative designs.

11 Low Angle Plane
Commemorative Tool No. 11 BCT offered was this Low Angle Smooth
Plane. It is in super nice unused condition!! The original owner
was a founding member and as such had the option to purchase
this. He opted for the Walnut storage box and a spare
cutter as well. The plane has never been used.
This finely crafted BCT plane was produced to commemorate the Bridge City Tool Works 11th anniversary in 2003 and was a one time limited offering. This CT- 11 plane has sat in its box unused and untouched for years. The foam interior did suffer a bit, and I got rid of some of it. Very Nice and Very Unusual!!

8 20 Degree Precision Block Plane The Commemorative Tool No. 8
BCT produced in 2000 was this "Precision Block Plane"
with it cutter set a 20 degrees. It is a fine looking plane with its steel bottom dovetailed to the brass sides.
This finely crafted BCT plane was produced to commemorate the Bridge City Tool Works 8th anniversary in 2000 and was a one time limited offering to founding members. The original owner was a founding BCT member and bought this new in 2000. He opted for the Walnut storage box. 8 Ebony 20 Degree Precision Block Plane
The CT-8 was the Commemorative Tool BCT produced in 2000.
The CT-8 is the "Precision Block Plane"
with its cutter set a 20 degrees. This is the upgraded Ebony
model, and the buyer also opted for the upgrade presentation Walnut box
when it was ordered. It is a fine looking plane with its steel bottom dovetailed to the brass sides
highlighted w/ Ebony wood embellishments.
This finely crafted BCT plane was a one time limited offering to founding members. The original owner was a founding BCT member and bought this new in 2000. It is numbered 211 E. This CT- 8 block plane saw little if any use and has sat in its box unused and untouched for years. A great vintage BCT piece.

Lie Nielsen Planes
The Lie Nielsen line of planes & tools were first offered in 1981. An American business success story. Over the years there were some great ideas and popular designs. Many of the planes they produce are copies of Stanley designs and remarkably many bring more than the Stanley version.

nice. Fashioned after the Stanley # 97 Chisel Plane, this is a
smaller bronze version Lie Nielsen put out.

Lie Nielsen #212 Scraper Plane
The #212 is a hard to find scraper plane by Stanley. It was
dropped from their line in the mid 30's and has been known to bring over $1000 on
the market today. I can remember when fly rod makers drove that market when that hobby took off with classes around the country.
That was years ago and there just
were not enough around and the prices rose even higher if you could find
one. Lie Nielsen introduced this plane many years ago, but by then the
common wisdom, and shear demand made the Stanley 9 1/2 block plane the new plane of choice
for many rod makers. Lie Nielsen still touts this plane as being well suited to
the task, and I am sure it is and works well for that or other applications!!

on a 30 some year old scraper plane. The original owner bought it new, put it on the workbench, and

Lie Nielsen # 140 Skew Block Plane
Stanley stopped making its version of this skew block
plane back during WWII. Lie Nielsen reintroduced the basic idea with a
major improvement being the addition of the fence. Stanley's skew
block plane idea was and is very popular w/ users, and this version by Lie nielsen w/ a fence should be equally as well received.

This is the left hand version of the Stanley #95 edge
plane produced by Lie Nielsen. Stanley just made one version, but Lie
Nielsen saw the wisdom in making one skew right and another left to double sales.
I am surprised Stanley did not think of that. The collector bought it as a collectible, and
I
doubt it ever saw a piece of wood. Included is a signed letter from the
president of Lie Nielsen describing all the features and fine points. NOS!

Size) Low Angle Bronze Piano Makers Plane
This Lie Nielsen low angle bronze / brass miter plane is in like new never used
condition. It was bought by the collector over 15 years ago as a
collectible and has sat on a shelf since then. Lie Nielsen planes are designed like the Stanley
planes of the same # and this would be like the Stanley # 9 Low Angle
Piano Makers Block Plane. They were only made in bronze for a few
years before they switched over to the iron version they still offer.
The plane itself is in near mint condition and shows little or no signs of
use. There are no scratches or wear to the sole. It has just minor surface rust on the
cutter that will wipe off. The throat is perfect. A nice plane!!

62 (62) Size Low Angle Jack Plane
This Lie Nielsen #62 low angle jack plane is in like new never used
condition. It was bought by the collector over 15 years ago as a
collectible and has sat on a shelf since then. Lie Nielsen planes are designed like the Stanley
planes of the same # and this would be like the Stanley #62 Low Angle
Cabinet Makers plane. It has just minor surface rust on the

Lie Nielsen #97 Cabinet Makers Chisel Plane
Lie Nielsen offers this plane in two different sizes.
This is the smaller half size at 6" or so, and approx half the size of the
original Stanley #97 chisel plane. This plane is designed to be used for
cleanup and final finishing in corners and so forth and works well for those
applications. This example was bought over 15 years ago and has never been used. It comes with its
box and a letter from the pre4sident describing its usefulness and features. Different!!

Brass Smooth Plane
This #1 size 5 1/2" long smooth plane is complete w/ the original box and receipt
from the early 90's. This #1 size bronze plane was never used and was
bought as a collectible that it is. The collector was buying the Lie Nielsen
planes offered on this page as collectibles and most of his Lie Nielsen
planes have never been used. The detailing on this one is nice and everyth9ing is correct. A

This bronze edge plane has the look and feel of a Lie
Nielsen plane. It is marked Ken Wisner, making it an
early version. The story is before Lie Nielsen there was Ken
Wisner. You can easily read online all about Ken Wisner, his plane
making history, and relationship to Lie Nielsen who bought
him out. It is more difficult to find one of these
early marked versions coming to market. This example is in very nice

MG-1 Marking Gage Gauge in Original Box This gage made it's Bridge City debut in 1989. The gage features a cutting wheel marker
which slices the marking line similar to a knife cut. Simply measure the distance from the fence to the cutting wheel and lock the fence with the brass knob.The fence is 3 3/4" long and inlaid with brass faces on both sides. The beam length allows for a 7 1/2" mark from the fence. The locking knob is knurled brass with inlaid rosewood. This tool was purchased from the estate of a collector who didn't use his tools. This gage is in new unused condition with an original open box. Minty nice and never used.

has sat in its box unused and untouched for years. The foam interior of the original box was turning to dust and I
removed most of it. The polished steel portion developed some
spotting where specks of the foam sat on the tool. I rubbed it a bit with 000 steel wool, and it could use more to get

The BCT Turning Tree was first offered in 1992. An
interesting measurement tool for use with outside calipers.From the Legend page on the BCT site.
TT-1 TURNING TREE The TT-1 Turning Tree is made in nine sections. Individual sections can be removed and kept in your apron pocket as quick references until your turning job is completed. We recommend you don't place this precision tool on the outboard end of your lathe while you turn, lest it vibrate onto the floor. All sections nest together, sturdy as a tree, awaiting your calipers. The major diameter of each section is permanently marked with the diameters of all four cylinders which make up that particular section. You'll know at a glance which section contains the diameter to match the drill you used to make the mortise. Additionally, the TT-1 Turning Tree sections can be used to size existing holes. Simply grab the section which closely resembles the hole you wish to measure and drop the narrow end into the hole until you find the size which fits. This can be extremely helpful in repairing antiques or making replacement parts.

3 Triangular rules that are 18" long each and complete with a box of accessories and the roller attachment
to facilitate all sorts of different layout situations.
Offered in 1998. From the Legend page on the BCT site.
RS-18 MEASUREMENT SYSTEM It is easy to slide on the RS-18 trammel heads and begin your arc and circle needs. Use the special offset/beam compass rule and you can index the trammel to the rule, making for extremely accurate arcs and circles.Slide the axle and wheels in place on section one of the RS-18 and it will effortlessly glide back and forth allowing you to easily create parallel lines. It works accurately enough to substitute as a marking gage in many applications where a line is needed parallel to an edge or another line. The wheels are neoprene and will not mark your work or paper.

FR-1 | FOLDING RULER & CALIPER When setting up a saw and other woodworking machines, you need a rule that will read from right to left. Few woodworkers relish using a left to right ruler upside down for setting their table saw fence – the FR-1 is the perfect right-to-left reading rule. Flip the FR-1 180 degrees and your 12" left-to-right ruler is ready for use. This is incredibly handy and much more accurate than using a tape measure. The FR-1 also features a small, handy centering rule.
Use this rule to find dead center on stock up to 5" in width without using any math. Align your stock so the same measurement is aligned with the two outside edges and the rule points to center.
Finally, there is a small 120mm rule on one arm for metric measurements. The FR-1 has a feature we have never seen before in similar tools – it works in either the right or left hand! In addition to measuring up to 4" by 32nd’s, the FR-1 will also simultaneously read millimeters.
Concealed in one arm of the FR-1 is a lockable depth stem. Want to check the depth of a mortise? Simply slide the depth stem to the bottom of your mortise, lock in place and use the caliper jaw to read the depth stem (as shown on the cover).

The BCT JM-6 Paring Guide set came as a 3 pieces measuring 6" - 18" and 24". They are 1999 Signature
series. They are set to 88 degree angle for a perfect undercut for joints. They are made of heavy solid metal stock and come in their original box. They have some scratches from moving about in the box, but were bought new and never used.
Here is the description for use from the BCT site. Bridge City Tool Works JM-24, JM-18, JM-6 Paring Guide Set of 3 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Once clamped in place, you simply work your chisel to the center of your stock thickness from each face with the back of the chisel resting against the guide. Our paring guides will guide your chisel at 88 degrees, creating a perfectly undercut joint. Once assembled, the joints look like they were cut with a laser.

The BCT MS-96 Precision Measuring Stick was issued in 1999.
It is from the signature series. An interesting measurement
tool that could be used individually or ganged together with
each section having the ability to extend. Measuring sticks are the easiest, fastest, and most accurate way to transfer length measurements or to check for square on large projects. This Precision Measuring Stick system consists of six interchangeable extruded aluminum bars. Their proprietary, cross-sectional profile provides unprecedented adjustment ease with absolutely ridged joints. The MS-96 "points" are designed to keep the contact faces on an exact centerline. Opposing sliding dovetails "jam" to each other by the locking knobs on a single face of the tool. By making the tool in sections, it can be used to measure from 21" to 97".
