Cast Iron Toy Sewing Machine / TSM
These nice looking cast iron TSM's are German despite the writing on the
base that speaks about an American Patent. It is a well built
heavy cast iron machine that is pretty hard to find, especially in this
nice condition. . A nice
looking toy sewing machine!

Muller #15 Cast Iron Toy Sewing Machine / TSM
This example is near mint compared to the one above. A lot of
Dealers would call that one mint. You get what you pay for, and
hence the higher price here.

Muller
#20 Toy / Travel Size / Child-Size Antique Sewing Machine
Muller was the largest and best known of the early German makers of toy
sewing machines. They made a number of different models in both cast
iron and sheet steel, or "Tinnies" as they are known. This is the
Model 20, the smallest of the cast iron toys they produced.
The condition of this example is nice with over 95% of the original finish
intact. The metal parts have developed a nice even patina over the
last 100 years or so. There is no major rust or pitting. A nice
example that has a great look and form to add to the collection.

Flora
Cast Iron Sewing Machine
This machine is believed to have
been made in Germany and is a variation of another
hard-to-find machine with the curious name of "Dr. Houg's Baby". Take
a look at all the pictures to see the very uncommon handwheel design.
The machine also utilized the same type of walking presser foot mechanism seen
in the early "New England" type sewing machines. The Flora was promoted
as being a real working portable sewing machine small enough to be used by children
as well as by adults. This example still has its original tin "lunchpail"-shaped
lithographed tin carry case.

Hand-Crank Casige #103 Sewing Machine

Germany near the turn of the century. The condition
of the machine is exceptional. The machine itself is near mint.

Muller #12 Cast Iron Toy Sewing Machine / TSM
The Muller 12 was the largest of the toy size machines that were produced by
the famous maker Muller. It looks to have been used very little, but
the paint has suffered from years of storage in an attic or other hot space.
There is considerable crazing to the finish.

Muller #6 Toy / Travel Size
/ Child-Size Antique Sewing Machine
Muller was the largest and best known of the early
German makers of toy sewing machines. They made a number of different models in
both cast iron and sheet steel, or "Tinnies" as they are known. This is
the Model 6, one of their upgraded and higher end machines that they offered. Good . . . . . .$475.00 SOLD!
Bremer
& Bruckmann Colibri Toy Sewing Machine / TSM
This German toy sewing machine is in very nice condition. The Dome top
fits well and locks onto the machine as it should. It is
not marked with the name, but the company logo is stamped or engraved in the
top of the sewing plate. It is similar in size and function like the
Muller 12. This interesting and large toy machine has the same flip
back feature to reveal a small storage area under the head in the base.
There are two packs of needles included, which are a rare find in themselves
as well as some other things pictured. Also included are an original
instruction manual in English. From the markings it would appear this
machine was distributed in England. Thomas' first book shows a similar
machine with different decoration on the body. She states they could
also be called the Gem, or the Lilliput. She also mentions an American
distributer here in the US in Oakland CA. A nice machine that is not common and
seldom seen in this nice condition. .

Muller
Model 10 Cast Iron Toy Sewing Machine / TSM
The Muller 10 is much harder to find than the look alike / similar Muller 20.
They were probably made about the same time near the turn of the century, but
the #20 with the more decorative base must have been much more popular as many
more are seen. The condition of this example is good, noting some losses
to the gold highlighting.

Muller
20 Cast Iron Small Antique Sewing Machine
The F. W. Muller Company was one of Germany's premier toy sewing machine manufacturers.
This cast iron sewing machine, designated as their Model 20, dates from
around 1900 and is both decorative and elegant in design. It measures
about 4" x 6" at the base and is about 6 1/4" tall. The overall condition
of this example is very good with some minor crackle to the finish of the paint
and vivid gold decoration. The stitchplate, handwheel and the other unpainted
metal parts had some surface rust which I have cleaned off, so they are missing
nickel, darker in finish and not shiny-bright. The needle is missing but
the set screw is included.

Werke Cast Iron Sewing Machine in the Box
This well-renowned maker of toy
trains, ships, doll houses and small sewing machines from Bavaria produced this
wonderful cast iron model that is decorated with lovely gold geometric designs
prior to the First World War. The most desirable
feature of this vintage sewing machine is the chain-drive mechanism contained
within the body. The design aspect of this chain-drive is far superior
to the mechanisms used in most machines, and thus it operates smoothly and effortlessly. This example is in its original yellow
cardboard box. This machine is outstanding in its condition and includes
the original clamp as well as the brightly colored box. There is a minor
amount of paint missing on the base from where the clamp has been affixed, but
the overall the paint is great, the decals are excellent, and the nickel plating
is bright and shiny. If you are looking for a really fine example of this
machine, this one will fit the bill!

Muller
20 Cast Iron Child-Size Antique Sewing Machine This is an unusual variation of a German Muller Toy Sewing Machine. Note the
design and decoration of the base. It is different from both the #10 and #8.
The wrap around cover at the top to hide the needle mechanism is very
unusual as well. Thomas's book has one pictured, but offers little
additional information. You will love the condition of this machine!

Sandt "Princess" Toy Sewing Machine
This and the figural TSM known as the Clown are two of
the rarest and most sought after and desirable of all antique sewing machines. I brokered the
sale of this rare machine putting a top tier collector together with a seller
who was leery of running their found treasure through an auction. All
parties were happy with the end result. I can and will help you
sell your rare sewing machines.

Muller
#6 Toy Sewing Machine / TSM in Original Box The
Muller #6 is one of the most strikingly beautiful and ornamental toy size sewing machines produced.
They were first introduced in the 1890's and production ceased with the
start of WWI. The machine is cast iron and the decoration that is cast into the body
is extremely detailed. The sewing machine was then nickel plated and
finished with a gold wash highlights. It gives it a great look.Fine . . . . . . . SOLD!
