A. J. Wilkinson Boston 8" Folding Handle Draw Knife  A nice tool by one of the premier American edge tool makers.  No rust or pitting to speak of on the 8" curved back cutter.  Good handles.  Wilkinson name and Boston location across the top.   Nice!!

Enders Oak Leaf 8" Folding Handle Drawknife  Looks like Wilkinson made it for another outfit. I believe it is a Simmons brand name.  Sharpened it will be ready to go.

2 Folding Handle Drawknives  The top one with the chamfer guides included is an 8" C. E. Jennings, who was a respected and well known maker of edge and other tools back near the turn of the century.

The bottom one with the owner made wooden guard is an 8"  James Swan, another well known and respected maker from that era.  It is very nice.

3 Folding Handle Drawknives  These are all pretty nice. 

On top is an 8" Oak Leaf from Simmons Hardware.  I think it was made for them by Wilkinson.  It is nice.   

Next is an 8" Wilkinson.

On the bottom is a pretty hard to find "Perfect Handle" by H. D. Smith Drawknife.  The handles on this are bent up.  I do not know if this was factory, or modified by the owner to keep from scuffing his knuckles.  It seems to be a better idea and look good.

James Swan Folding Handle Draw Knife   Overall nice condition. Handles have unusual 2 way adjustment feature. In addition to folding in and out, they can also revolve. Kind of a unique idea. Maker stamp, size and Patent info stamped on blade. Well used with plenty of life left in it.

H. D. Smith "Perfect Handle" Drawknife  I am not sure the handle angle on this draw knife is original, or how an owner could have accomplished it, but it sure gives the user a new or different way to go about the working a drawknife.  No skinned knuckles here.   Lots of life left in the cutter, and it is not pitted.  A good user or wall hanger.

D. R. Barton Draw Knife The blade is stamped 12, but it looks to be more like 11. Not pitted or all beat up.  Lots of life left in it.   It is over 20" overall.   The maker stamp is very faint.  A pretty nice workhorse.

Wood Router Plane w/ Steel Sole  Marked T. P. G. The steel sole has some pitting. It has a Stanley cutter in it. The lock design works well. Will probably work as well as a Stanley 71 or 71 1/2 router.

Van Slyke Tool Co. Adze / Hatchet Attachment on a Stanley 100 Plus 13 oz. Hammer  This is a first generation Pat Appl'd for model of this unusual and hard to find attachment.  The patent was issued later and is # 488174. It was made in Hollywood CA. The hammer is a Stanley 100 Plus in nice condition. Nice, odd and different!!

D. R. Barton Curved Draw Knife  Sweet.  Curved cutter is approx. 5" and it is approx. 18" overall.  Overall nice condition.

Cooper's / Woodworker's Scorp Inshave Drawknife  I do not see any maker info.  Insignificant crack in one handle.  Nice!!

Wood handled Scraper w/ 5 Cutters   A well made heavy duty tool.  Note that there are 2 brass wedges to allow for changing the angle.   Nice!!

Adjustable Spoke Pointer Look at all the original paint. It is a high grade version with depth increments on the stem, and cast iron washers on the cutter screws to help hold the cutter better. Overall very nice condition.

Stiletto Carpenters Polled Adze  This is basically NOS never been used.  Stiletto was the house brand used by the large Hardware & Tool Distributer Baker Hamilton who set up shop in Sacramento and San Francisco during the beginning of the Gold Rush era.   I have installed a proper handle on this.    This will be a great user.  Nice!!

Simmons Cohoes NY Cast Steel Warranted Broad Axe Nice overall condition.  No cracks or other damage.  Add it to the collection or put a handle on it and get back to work.

True Temper "Flint Edge" Carpenters Lipped Poll Adze  This 4" lipped adze is in very nice condition and will be a great user.  Good solid handle. No rust or pitting to speak of, and the edge is good.  Nice!!

Primitive Timber Framing Mortise Axe At least that is what I think it is for.   Certainly different.  There are what look like two letters stamped into the head.

Carpenter's Adze This is as nice as one could hope for.  No rust or pitting, Nice handle, and sharp.  The head has a nice stamp including that it is Cast Steel.

Plumb Champion Axe w/ Embossed Lumberman Logo This is a very nice condition and very unusual embossed double end felling axe. Add it to the collection. This will be a showpiece w/ or w/o a handle.

Collins NOS Legitimus Axe w/ Raised Letter Label The early trademark raised letter label is still on this NOS condition Axe.    It is in super nice overall condition and I doubt it was ever used.  I am not sure if this would be a lumberman's felling axe or a camp axe, or how it would be designated.  I believe the handle is original, but it is not marked so  - - - - .    Nice!

Gruber Goosewing Axe  I do not know all the fine points of determining the maker or location for these tools.  The center touchmark clearly says Gruber.  To the left looks like a sun face, and on the right is a anchor with a 4 at the top.  Below the name is a mushroom, and a ?  It was bought in CA over 30 years ago if that helps.

2 Primitive Goosewing Axes  These came from the collection and have been hanging in the rafters from long before Eastern Europe opened up and a lot of Goosewing type Axes started showing up  Both were bought in CA over 30 years ago.

Turpentine Axe  These unusual crescent shaped axes were designed to cut a slash into the bark of trees so they would ooze sap for the making of turpentine.  The stamp says it us US made.
