Stanley Four Square Junior Jack PlaneStanley Four Square Junior Jack Plane  Overall condition is very nice. Tastefully cleaned. The 4 Square 5 1/4 size jack plane was offered from the 1920s - 1930 and aimed at the casual user. It is the same as a typical 5 1/4 and was offered in several finishes during its short life span. Nice!!

Good + . . . . . $75.00            SOLD!!

Stanley # 4 1/2 C Corrugated Bottom Extra Large Smooth PlaneStanley # 4 1/2 C Corrugated Bottom Extra Large Smooth Plane   This plane has features of a type 10 & 11.  The plane is in nice condition noting some light pitting.  Very nice handle.  90% or more of the japanning.  The sole looks good.  It has the external frog adjuster.  About an inch of life left in the cutter.  Nice!!

Good + . . . . . . . $125.00           SOLD!!

Stanley # S4 Steel Smooth PlaneStanley # S4 Steel Smooth Plane  Stanley introduced there line of steel planes in the mid 20's when they stopped making the liberty bell line of planes.  They offered them in the number 4 size, as well as the number 5 and a high angle block plane, and a high angle denoted as the S18.    They were only made for 15 or so years.  They were aimed at schools, and for applications where there was a likelihood of them being dropped as the steel body would not crack or break like the cast iron counterpart.   A nice plane that will be a great user or is nice enough for the shelf

Good +  . . . . . .$95.00       SOLD!

Stanley S4 Steel Smooth PlaneStanley S4 Steel Smooth Plane Stanley first started offering this model plane in 1926, and ended production with the beginning of WWII in 1941.  Meant for use in locals such as schools or manual training classes where damage was likely to occur if dropped as the steel sides would not crack or break.   As is typical there is not much paint left.  Front knob looks to be a replacement, and there is a bit of loss to the top of the rear handle.  The rest is OK.

Good  . . . . . $95.00     SOLD!!

Stanley Two Tone # OH 4 Smooth PlaneStanley Two Tone # OH 4 Smooth Plane The condition of this unusual variation on the theme is about as nice as one could ask for.  Stanley offered their line of Two -Tone Planes first in 1941, and again in 1951 at national hardware conventions.  Not sure how they marketed them after that, or where.  No doubt an appeal to the eye of the new buyer consumer Stanley was aiming for.  America's Happy Homeowner / Weekend Warrior. The only place they are marked Stanley is on the cutter.

It would be a real challenge to collect all the different colors these came in. Here is a good start for the collection.

Fine  . . . . . $40.00        SOLD!!

tanley S4 Steel Smooth PlaneStanley S4 Steel Smooth Plane  Same as above w/ a bit more pitting.  Stanley introduced their line of steel planes in 1926 and production ended with the start of WWII in 1942.  This is an earlier model with rivets.  As is typical there is missing paint and some pitting as the steel bodies were prone to.  Less prone to damage if dropped.  This one survived with intact handle and knob.  A pretty nice example.

Good +  . . . . .  $70.00            SOLD!!

Stanley Type 19 # 4 Smooth PlaneStanley Type 19 # 4 Smooth Plane   This is a type 19 and dates from post WWII and before 1958 as it has a Rosewood handle and knob.   The original japanning is 98% or better.  The full length cutter is nice w/ original grind.  No issues, no apologies.  This plane saw little if any use.  A very nice plane and from the end of the era when Stanley put out a pretty nice tool.

Fine . . . . . $125.00       SOLD!!

Stanley #5 1/4 Junior Jack PlaneStanley #5 1/4 Junior Jack Plane This # 5 1/4 Junior Jack Plane is a type 13 and dates from the Sweetheart era and before WWII. It has had a later cutter installed. A good solid user plane that has seen light use. No rust or pitting. No damage to the plane body. No Issues. It has a nice Rosewood handle and knob. It has the external frog adjusting feature. It will make for a good user!

Good + . . . . . $125.00       SOLD!!

Stanley # 104 Liberty Bell Steel Smooth PlaneStanley # 104  Liberty Bell Steel Smooth Plane  The #104 was first issued in 1876 to commemorate the Centennial.  It was discontinued in 1919 after the war.  WWI that is.  It has a steel body.  From the cutter logo we can assume this is a type 2 and dates from before 1907.  It has been tastefully, and carefully cleaned and rehabbed.  It looks great.

Fine  . . . . . .$120.00         SOLD!

Stanley # 105 Liberty Bell Steel Jack PlaneStanley # 105 Liberty Bell Steel Jack Plane  The #105 was first issued in 1876 to commemorate the Centennial. It was discontinued in 1919 after WWI.  It has a steel body and the typical adjuster for the cutter that liberty bell planes have.  It looks to have been repainted but is not pitted or rusty.  It is not damaged. It is the size of a # 5 jack plane.  Has a full length proper marked cutter.  Nice wood, and it will clean to be very nice..

Good + . . . . .$150.00          SOLD!

Stanley # S5 Steel Jack PlaneStanley # S5 Steel Jack Plane  This S5 Jack Plane dates from the mid 20's. They were only made from 126 to 1942, and in about 1930 stopped using rivets as this one has.  It has a glued rosewood handle and beyond that is in overall nice condition.  It will clean, and with a different handle will be suitable for the collection or use it as is.

Good + . . . . .$150.00      SOLD!

Stanley # A5 Aluminum Jack PlaneStanley # A 5 Aluminum Jack Plane  This A 5 Jack Plane dates from the mid 20's to mid 30's.  It has a great rosewood handle and is in overall very nice condition.  There are not any deep scratches or other problems.  It is all original and very nice.  These Aluminum planes are more a collectible in most peoples mind for several reasons.  They are lighter, softer, and prone to scratches.  Improper storage will result in "rot".  A nice example for the collection!!

Good + . . . . .  $145.00     SOLD!!

Stanley Aluminum Planes3 Stanley Aluminum Bench Planes  Stanley made and sold a few different Aluminum planes and other tools back in the 20's and 30's.  They made an aluminum version of the #18 block plane, the  #78 and the #45, some levels, a brace, as well as these three different size bench planes, the A4, the A5,  & the A6.

Each of these planes is pretty nice with no major detractions.  They are quite soft, and can oftentimes be found with deep scratches in the soles or sides, but these 3 examples are pretty nice.  Each has been fitted with one of Stanley's aftermarket aluminum handles that were typically offered separately.   I suppose the collector felt they better represented the flavor of the aluminum planes and he probably swapped them out just for the look.

Left #A4 ..... Good . . . . . $100.00    SOLD!

Middle  A5  .........Good+. . . . . . $120.00    SOLD!

Right .......... Good+. . . . . $175.00    SOLD!

The cutter is full length.   It is nice with some minor nickel losses. A tough plane to find anymore.  Especially in this nice condition.

Fine  . . . . . .$125.00       SOLD!

Stanley A #6 Aluminum Fore PlaneStanley A #6 Aluminum Fore Plane  The Stanley A 6 is a tough plane to in this nice condition.  It is all proper, correct and very nice.  They were offered for lees than 15 years back in the 20's and 30's and were never popular with users.  To light, to soft, and prone to damage.  Stanley sales pitch of rustless did not impress the potential buyers.

Fine . . . . . . .$125.00       SOLD!!

Good  . . . . . $95.00   SOLD!!

Stanley / Gage # G3 C Corrugated Self Setting Smooth PlaneStanley / Gage # G3 C Corrugated Self Setting Smooth Plane  This  G3 Gage jack plane is in overall nice condition.  It has a wonderful Rosewood handle and original knob.  The tag indicates it came from Bob Kaune back in the late 90's.  The sides and sole look to have been Kauneized as it has come to be known.
